I love this notion. Plans never go according to plan. There are always roadblocks, weather issues, people problems, resource constraints, etc. Although, most of the time we meet the overall objective, it is not in the exact way we thought it would happen. Because of this, many leaders are scared to pull the trigger and will over analyze the plan trying to make it perfect. This will never happen…so clearly define the outcome you desire and then build a plan to get there considering the different variables. Then execute the plan. As it is in motion, look ahead for obstacles and clear them before your team ever sees them.
