This October, I’m dedicating the month to studying and practicing Conflict Management. Conflict is part of life at work, at home, and in society. How we handle it determines whether it becomes destructive or transformative.
To make this learning journey practical and shareable, I’ve been compiling my personal notes from multiple sources: books, articles, research, and past experiences. Using those notes, I’m creating a daily video series with NotebookLM’s video creation tool. Each short video covers a focused lesson with a big idea, a practical application, and a takeaway you can apply right away.
Side note: To be honest, I have them all scheduled for each weekday and will be learning right along with you…I am pumped to see how this experiments plays out.
Why Conflict Management?
- Conflict is not defeat; it can be the catalyst for growth.
- True resolution isn’t just compromise; it’s finding win-win outcomes where both parties gain.
- Leaders who can reframe conflict as opportunity are better equipped to build trust, foster collaboration, and create stronger teams.
What to Expect
- Daily YouTube Lessons throughout October.
- Topics will include: moving beyond the fixed-pie mentality, using I-statements to defuse tension, reframing conflict as shared problem-solving, and learning from historical examples of strategy.
- Along the way, I’ll also share my own reflections and lessons learned, because this isn’t just about theory; it’s about growth in real leadership practice.
My hope is that these videos will not only sharpen my skills but also provide you with practical, easy-to-use insights you can apply in your own leadership journey.
You can follow along here on Deliberate Development, or subscribe to the YouTube channel for the daily drop. Let’s grow together this October.
Conflict doesn’t have to break us, when we learn to manage it, conflict will build us.
