Daily Deliberation: 27 August 2020

I always found it kind of amusing that when I introduced myself to someone and they found out I was in the Air Force, either through conversation or because I was wearing my uniform, it was inevitable they would say “do you know Sergeant Jones or Capt Smith”? I’m sure this doesn’t just happen in the military but it is easier since we have a uniform. The typical answer to the question was “no”, just because I’m in the Air Force doesn’t mean that I know everybody in it…I’d try to laugh about it because it is amusing…but think about this. You could have been a boss, a co-worker, friend of a friend…heck, there are lots of ways they could have known you or known of you. The thing to think about today is not if the answer to the question is Yes or No…but if they do say yes, what are the words that will follow??
