I remember as a kid holding the flashlight while my dad was fixing the car. Sure, I was illuminating his workspace…but he was also teaching me how to fix the car. I spent 22 years in the military and I don’t think there was a day I didn’t learn something new. I tell folks you should learn something everyday. Doesn’t have to be at work…can be anywhere. However, most of the time it requires someone to be the teacher. Be a teacher today! Teach a co-worker how to do a new task, teach your child to make toast or use a tool. Bottom line, if we are teachers and students everyday you’ll be amazed how much better your world will be!
