I’ll admit, finding a job post-military hasn’t been as easy as I’d thought it would be…not by a long shot, but here is what I’ve learned over the past few months. I’ve got a great network of family (especially my wife), friends, and mentors that are willing to bend over backwards to help me out. Heck, there are even a few folks that I don’t even know that have reached out to help. I ask myself, “why are they so willing to help me out”? I think it all comes down to how you treat folks all the time. I had their backs when I was in a position to do so and now when I need their help, they have mine. Remember that as you interact with people…one day you may need a hand. In a few hours I have my second job interview. I don’t know how it will turn out, but somebody had my back to help me get there. Thank you to everyone that has and continues to help me along my way!
