A few posts ago I wrote an article comparing how there were multiple ways to get to a goal…just like a GPS will give you multiple ways to get to a destination. Now, technology is getting close, but as far as I know, there isn’t a GPS out there that knows your destination just by you getting in your car…you have to plug in your destination. Same way with goals, the first thing you have to do is set your goals before you can build your plan on how to get there. You don’t just start putting ingredients in a bowl to see what will come out do you? You determine what you will make, get the ingredients, then follow the recipe and you have your meal! Bottom line is this, before you go to school, join the military, pick a job or even buy a dozen eggs…set a goal! What do you want to get out of that decision? What can you do to set yourself up for success? Then, once you set your goal…make a plan and then execute!!
