Life sure is great when everything is going the way it is supposed to be. You’ve made all the right decisions, everyone is happy…everything is perfect every single day. Sound like your life?? Yeah, mine neither…and I doubt that anyone could truly answer yes to that question.
Nobody gets every decision right…just can’t make everyone in the organization happy. Nobody wins every game or award…not even the best pro athlete in the world. How you win can show a lot about your character, but the truth really comes out when you fail at something. Are you a good sport? Do you admit and own your mistakes? Do you learn from and teach others from those failures?
I’ll be the first to admit…I have a lot to work on in this area…dang sure am not perfect…I can admit that (step 1). Just know that everyone is watching…especially if you are in a leadership position to see how you handle these situations. Think about the past and how you’ve handled failures and if you would have handled anything differently…I know I wish I would have. You can’t change yesterday but you can learn from it so tomorrow will be better!
