Daily Deliberation: 14 August 2020

This is one of my favorite quotes not because it is eloquent or even thought provoking, it reminds me that my perspective into a situation greatly impacts my views. If you have ever read a book or even just a quote and wrote down how it made you think at the time and then re-read the same passage a month later, you will glean different insights. This isn’t because you necessarily know more, it is because you changed the lens in which you are viewing it. When I keep this idea in my mind, it reminds me to think of what lens another may be seeing the problem through and looking for holes in my own views.
