How many “good ideas” or improvements have never happened because you or someone else kept it to themselves? This can happen for many reasons…but like the title says: “the answer to every unasked question is “no””. Maybe you “thought” you knew the idea would get shot down. Perhaps the person you have to ask has a personality that doesn’t welcome ideas. There could be numerous reasons to keep this idea bottled up…but then it will never come to fruition. My advice, do your research, be able to provide benefits to this good idea, practice your pitch…and then just do it. If they say no, you move on…but if they say yes, maybe you just made something better for everyone in the organization. It all starts with asking…give it a try!
